Frequently asked questions
Hosting a charger, how and when hosts get paid, which hardware works, white-label branding, and how long each of our products takes to go live.
Hosting a charger
How does hosting work commercially?
It depends on the site, the hardware and who owns it. Some hosts list a charger they already have; others ask us to install and operate one for them. We agree the commercial terms with you before anything is committed, so tell us about your location and we will come back with specifics.
How and when do hosts get paid?
Earnings are calculated on each completed session, and the full breakdown sits in your dashboard so you can see exactly what every charge earned. The payout schedule is set out in your hosting agreement.
What kind of site can host a charger?
Residential and apartment parking, offices, retail, malls, hotels, highway and fuel-station sites all work. What matters is the power you have available, whether drivers can actually get to it, and whether a bay can be kept free for charging.
The white-label platform
Is the white-label platform truly our brand?
Yes. The driver apps, dashboards and emails all carry your brand, logo and colours. We run the platform underneath it, and the customer relationship stays yours.
Which chargers are compatible?
Any OCPP-compliant charge point connects to the e-bolt network and the white-label backend, so you are never locked into one hardware vendor.
How long does onboarding take?
Hosting can go live within days once we have assessed your site. White-label deployments usually take a few weeks, depending on how much branding and integration work is involved.
Can we run the platform outside India?
Yes. Currency, tax treatment, language and payment provider are all configuration rather than code. The India platform ships with UPI top-ups and GST receipts. For other markets we scope the local payment rails and invoicing rules with you before you sign.
Charging infrastructure
What does e-bolt actually install?
We handle the whole build: site assessment and load analysis, the electrical and civil work, AC or DC charge points sized to your demand, network connectivity and commissioning. Then we operate and maintain what we built.
How do you keep the chargers running?
The platform watches every charger around the clock, so a unit that drops off is flagged immediately rather than when a driver reports it. Our engineers work through those alerts, and we schedule maintenance before a warning becomes a failure. Support hours are Monday to Friday, 9AM to 6PM IST.
Still deciding which product fits?
Tell us what you have: chargers, a site, or a network you want to put your brand on. We will point you at the right one.
